Description
The subject of tourist guiding is human being like many areas of social sciences. For this reason, it is often not possible to get to the root of the problem with positivism in tourist guiding. Therefore, there is a need to conduct qualitative research focusing on different methods and techniques such as interviews, focus groups and participant observation in this field. Journal of Qualitative Tourist Guiding Research (TURNAD) was established within the frame of this idea. TURNAD is an international peer-reviewed journal which aims to publish scientific research adopting qualitative research methods in the field of tourist guiding. TURNAD accepts research on tourist guiding profession, tour management, tourist guide- travel agency, tourist guide-tourism employee, tourist guide-tourists and tourist guide-local people relations and tourist behavior, archaeology, art history, history of religions, mythology. TURNAD includes qualitative research on current issues in tourist guiding, qualitative studies on tourist behavior, research articles on specific topics in the field of tourism and hospitality industry, notes to editor, book reviews and conference evaluation reports. The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English. The authors who will submit their articles to the journal should prepare them in accordance with the template specified in the journal writing rules. Journal of Qualitative Tourist Guiding which continues its publication life online is published biannually (in June and December). The authors are not charged any fee at any stage of the publication process.
