All content is made freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, with no embargo period and no requirement for users to register. The copyright holder of each scholarly work grants usage rights to others using an open licence (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International – CC BY 4.0). Author Charges Journal of Smart Computing is completely free of charge. There are no submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), page charges, colour charges, or any other fees for authors. Reading and downloading all content is also free of charge for all users. Peer Review Process All research articles published in the journal undergo a rigorous quality-control process before publication. Manuscripts first receive an editorial screening for scope, originality, and basic quality. Suitable submissions are then sent for double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent external experts who are not part of the editorial team. Editorial decisions are based on the originality, methodological rigour, clarity, and significance of the work. Special-issue articles receive the same peer-review standards and oversight by the Editor-in-Chief. Papers submitted by guest editors are handled under an independent review process. Publication Ethics The journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. Clear policies are in place regarding authorship and contributorship, complaints and appeals, allegations of research misconduct, conflicts of interest, data sharing and reproducibility, ethical oversight, intellectual property, post-publication discussions, corrections, and retractions. All submitted manuscripts are routinely screened for plagiarism using iThenticate. A similarity index below 15% is required. Submissions exceeding this threshold are carefully reviewed by the editors to distinguish legitimate overlap (such as properly cited text or standard methodological descriptions) from potential plagiarism. Confirmed cases of plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, redundant publication, or undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for desk rejection or retraction in accordance with COPE guidelines. Instructions for Authors Detailed instructions for authors, including manuscript preparation guidelines, types of articles accepted, authorship criteria, ethical requirements, and the submission process, are available on the Author Guidelines page: https://ciotr.com/jsc/submissions.php.
