National Journal of Basic Medical Sciences (NJBMS) is an indexed, peer reviewed medical journal published by the Society for Basic Medical sciences, Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Medical College Salem, Tamilnadu India. First of its kind in India, the scope of NJBMS has a broad coverage of relevant topics across basic medical sciences which includes preclinical and paraclinical disciplines like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry , Pathology ,Microbiology, Pharmacology and Medical education. NJBMS has an integrated approach towards research. Hence, NJBMS welcomes articles from any clinical discipline along with the tenets of basic medical sciences. The types of articles accepted include original research articles, review articles, editorials, medical news, case reports, short communications and correspondence. It is published quarterly and is available in print and online version. NJBMS complies with the uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals, issued by the International Committee for Medical Journal Editors.
