The editorial policy of the journal "Society. Document. Communication" is based on the following principles: objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication; high requirements for the quality of scientific research; mandatory peer review of articles; collegiality in making decisions on the publication of articles; accessibility and efficiency in communication with authors; strict observance of copyright and related rights. The main criterion for selecting materials for publication is their originality and relevance of the idea, scientific and factual accuracy of the material presented. The purpose of the journal "Society. Document. Communication" – to present the results of scientific research on important and topical issues of social communication and to contribute to the improvement of archival, publishing, record keeping and document management. Aims: to publish original and review articles covering a wide range of topical issues and questions of social communications and information business; to establish partnerships with scientific publishing organisations; to encourage interdisciplinary research, to facilitate productive dialogue between media scholars, linguists, historians and documentary scholars; to inform the audience about current trends in the media sphere, publishing and archival affairs, document management and record keeping. Scope: theory and history of social communications; documentation and archival studies; book studies, library science, bibliography; theory and history of journalism, media studies; theory and history of publishing and editing; applied social and communication technologies; information documentation technologies; social informatics. The main audience of the journal is researchers of social communications, media, archivists and document specialists, including doctoral students, postgraduates, teachers, media representatives and civil servants interested in theoretical and practical problems of communication and document studies. The journal publishes manuscripts that contribute to the study of media, archives, documentary studies, publishing, the history of their development and future prospects, and generate new ideas, theories and concepts.
